Trap, Neuter,
Return Program

We accept feral/community cats through our Trap, Neuter, Return Program.

Please drop off between 9 AM – 11 AM ONLY on Monday-Friday at our Tucson Veterinarian clinic. There are exceptions so please check our Facebook page (some days we do not have a veterinarian in the building). We only accept feral cats that come in a humane trap, also known as a havahart animal trap.

Seeing stray cats? We can help — for FREE!

Our Community Cats Program is the humane and effective way to reduce the number of cats living on the streets in Pima County. Community cats are the unowned outdoor or feral cats who live in our neighborhoods.

Community Cats Project Summary

  • Provides free spaying/neutering and vaccination at our Tucson clinic to reduce outdoor cat populations over time.
  • Includes ear-tipping, a painless procedure marking spayed/neutered cats.

Benefits

  • Prevents unwanted litters.
  • Saves taxpayer money by reducing shelter intake.
  • Lowers shelter euthanasia rates.
  • Improves outdoor cat health.
  • Minimizes nuisance behaviors (spraying, fighting, howling, roaming).

Eligibility for Free Services

  • Cat must live strictly outdoors.
  • No known owner (no collar, ID, or microchip).
  • Appears healthy and weighs at least 2 pounds (8-10 weeks old).
  • Must be returned to the original colony post-surgery (relocation is illegal).
